Cristina Fontanelli, an Award-Winning Singer-Actor / PBS-TV host for Andrea Bocelli, lets down her “Italian hair” to examine the Italian, the Italian-American and the American Songbook for all aspects of love Italian style – passion, melody, meaning, FUN. From Sinatra to Sondheim, from Arlen to Modugno to Broadway hits – This “Vocal Genius” brings her special form of entertainment to the NY nightclub scene.
Cristina has become a well-known personality through her recordings, her appearances on TV, radio, in concert, nightclubs, and opera, and through her acting debut on network television.
She has appeared in “Live From Central Park” also starring Celine Dion and Tony Bennett; for the “Il Volo Takes Flight” special; Vienna Boys Choir and Qi Gong -TV Specials.
In addition, Cristina has completed three world-tours with the Mantovani Orchestra. Annual and recent appearances include Jimmy Kimmel’s Feast of San Gennaro in Hollywood, CA; singing the National Anthem on Capital Hill in Washington D.C. for the testimony by fashion-icon Giorgio Gucci; singing Happy Birthday to Mickey Rooney for his 90th birthday celebration at Feinsteins (Donald Trump, Regis Philbin, Tony Bennett, et al in attendance); opening the ceremonies for the prestigious Hamptons Classic Horseshow; honoring Connie Francis at the historic Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach; the National Arts Club NYC; performances in San Diego (with Giada DiLaurentis); making her off-Broadway debut at the St. Luke’s Theater in “My Big Gay Italian Wedding”; the PBS Gala at Times Square Discover and her 15th-Annual “Christmas in Italy”.

In the great tradition of the last 32 years, opera and Broadway favorites will once again come to the North Fork of Long Island through the annual favorite concert/wine-tasting event “Cristina Fontanelli and Her Fabulous Friends” taking place on Saturday, July 22nd, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. at the Duck Walk Vineyard North, 44535 Main Rd., Southold, NY on the North Fork of the Hamptons on Long Island. (Opera & Broadway of the Hamptons is a 5C c-3 project giving performance opportunities and scholarships to local children/youth and providing tickets to under-privileged families and Veterans.)

This annual concert will continue the tradition of highlighting famous arias/duets from Opera (e.g. La Boheme, Madame Butterfly, etc.) and Broadway showstoppers (e.g. West Side Story, Hamilton, My Fair Lady, etc.), plus famous Italian and Neapolitan songs and Spanish favorites. Starring and hosted by the award-winning singer/Actor/PBS-TV/WLIW and media personality, Cristina Fontanelli (www.cristinafontanelli.com) will perform (“The best work came from Soprano,Cristina Fontanelli.” – New York Times; “Vocal genius” – NY Sun;”Cristina Fontanelli at Feinsteins at the Regency is like seeing a cross between Maria Callas and Ethel Merman. She has no equal.” – Forbes Magazine) along with her world renowned invited guest tenor Nicolas Simpson and baritone still t/b/a. The concert will also feature talented young performers carefully chosen from tri-state area high schools and colleges.
Come early to secure your seats and then enioy the award-winning wines of Duck Walk (also sold during intermission) on the outdoor patio/tables. Bring a picnic dinner while experiencing the summer breezes. The concert takes place in the Duck Walk tasting room so there is no problem if there is inclement weather.

In the great tradition of the last 30 years, Opera & Broadway of the Hamptons will return to the East End bringing the great “chestnuts” of the Opera and Broadway favorites in their program “A SOUTHAMPTON SALUTE TO SUMMER: CRISTINA FONTANELLI AND HER FABULOUS FRIENDS” taking place (after a hugely successful concert in 2021) for the 3rd year in a row in the magnificent Basilica of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary in the heart of the Village of Southampton, within walking distance of shops and restaurants. (Opera & Broadway of the Hamptons is a 501 c-3 project produced by www.thecristinafontanellifoundation.org giving performance opportunities and scholarships to local children and providing tickets to under-privileged families and Veterans.)

Soprano Cristina Fontanelli (www.cristinafontanelli.com) is a highly acclaimed singer and PBS-TV/WLIW host for Andrea Bocelli “Live From Central Park”; Il Volo and Michael Buble: Tour Stop; Cristina last appeared at Guild Hall with Opera of the Hamptons, in the title role of Madame Butterfly. Cristina recently won her 2nd Best Actress Award at the Venus International Film Festival in Las Vegas, NV for her role in SANTINO, a Russo Brothers Grantee film (DJ Higgins, Director/writer) thru the National Italian American Foundation in Washington DC. She has appeared on CBSTV, FOX, Discover, etc. and on Bloomberg and Sirius Satellite Radio and has sung throughout the United States, Europe, the Far East and the Middle East. Ms. Fontanelli has sung at the Clinton White House and for the Inauguration of President George W. Bush, with the Palm Beach, Cairo, NY, and New Jersey State Opera, has received the Lifetime Achievement Award in the Arts from the Order Sons of Italy in America (previous honoree Luciano Pavarotti).
